All materials and workmanship shall conform to the standards and specifications of the city of Renton and the 1984 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction by WSOOT and APWA - Washington State Chapter. It is the responsibility of the contractor to obtain copies of these documents. In case of conflicts. the standards and specifications of the City of Renton shall be used. 2. Datu• is the City of Renton. BM No. 1040, Elevation 18.42, top of luminaire base on chiseled square at southeast corner of concrete westside of Lind Avenue approximately station 24.15. SM No. 1041. Elevation 18 52 top of chiseled square at southwest corner of luminairc base 75 feet north of northeast concrete approximately corner of Lind Avenue and 19th Street intersection. 3. Caution - extreme hazard - overhead electrical service lines are not shown on the drawings. The contractor is responsible for determining the extent of any hazard created by overhead electrical power in all areas and shall follow procedures during construction as required by law and regulation. Prior to construction, the contractor shall meet With utility owners, determine the extent of hazard, determine remedial measures and take whatever precautiuns that may be required. 4, identification, location, marking and responsibility for underground facilities or util hies are governed by the provisions of RCW 19.122. 5. underground utility service lines including, but not limited to, sanitary sewer, gas, water, drains, electricity, telephone, TV cable, and culverts shall be maintained, relocated, rerouted, removed or least interference with restored by the Contractor with the Possible such services. 6. The right is reserved by owners of utilities and franchises to enter any street, road, right -of -way, or easement for the purpose of maintaining their property and for making necessary repair or adjustments caused by the contractor's operations. Th e contractor shall hold the owner harmless of any costs so incurred. 7. A copy of this plan most be on -site whenever construction is io progress. 8. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to obtain street use and any other related permits prior to any construction in city right -of -way. 9. The contractor shall provide and maintain temporary facilities for sedimentation to ensure that 'sediment -laden water does not enter the storm drainage system or water bodies. 30. The contractor is solely responsible for the means, methods and sequence of construction and for the safety of workers and public on the construction site. 11. All existing curbs, landscaping and pavement which are to remain shall be restored to original condition as approved by the engineer or owner. The contractor is responsible for damage to any existing facilities caused by his operations. 12. A preconstroction conference and twenty -four hour notice will be required prior to starting new construction. 13. Locations of the structures shown hereon are approximate. Exact locations shall be field set by the engineer. 14. Manholes and cleanouts shall be installed in accordance with City of Renton standard plan. 15. All sanitary sewer pipe to be polyvinyl chloride pipe conforming to the provision of ASTM D 3034, SDR 35. Pipe joints shall confann to ASTM D 3212 using restrained gasket conforming to ASTM F 477. 16. All fittings to be injection molded tees or factory solvent cemented saddle tees. 17. All pipe bedding shall be per City of Renton standard plan. All trench backfill shall be compacted to minimum 90% per ASTM D1557 -0. 18. All sanitary sewers shall be pressure tested in accordance with the specifications of the City of Renton. All pressure testing shall be - /87 done in the presence of a representative of the City of Renton. 19. All connections to existing sewer to be accomplished by the Contractor. The contractor shall excavate completely around the existing manhole to insure against unbalanced loading on tha manhole. �k L� .°-�� The contractor shall keep the manhole in operation at all times and take precautions necessary to prevent any debris or other materials from entering the sewer. The contractor may be required to install a tight pipeline bypass through the existing channel. 1\ {7 20. Inspection will be accomplished by a representative of the City Renton.
