PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF THE CONSTRUCTION PERMIT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT COMPLETE CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND DETAILS, PER CITY STANDARDS, FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL BY THE CITY OF RENTON. 2. EXISTING SITE IMPROVEMENTS SHOWN ARE BASED UPON CITY OF RENTON RECORDS AND SURVEY DATA. NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE OF ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS IS EITHER IMPLIED OR EXPRESSED. EXISTING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS HAVE BEEN SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSISTING THE CONTRACTOR IN LOCATING SAID UTILITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS IN THE FIELD. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING ACTUAL LOCATIONS IN THE FIELD AND CHECY'NG WITH APPROPRIATE AGENCIES THAT MAY HAVE UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND IMPROVVLMENTS WITHIN THE PROJECT LIMITS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGE TO UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS RESULTING FROM HIS OPERATION. 3. A COPY OF THE APPROVED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS MUST BE ON THE JOB SITE WHENEVER CONSTRUCTION IS IN PROGRESS. 4. DATUM - ELEVATIONS SHOWN ON CITY OF RENTON DATUM (NATIONAL GEODETIC VERTICAL DATUM), AND ARE BASED ON CITY OF RENTON BENCHMARKS. 5. IT SHALL BE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO OBTAIN STREET USE PERMITS AND OTHER RELATED OR REQUIRED PERMITS PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION .k ACTIVITY. 6. ALL PAVEMENT, WALK AND CURB REMOVALS SHALL BE VERTICAL SAWCUT AT THE BOUNDARIES OF REMOVAL AREA. REMOVALS BEYOND LIMITS SHOWN ARE AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE AND SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL CONTRACT PRICE. CONTRACTOR SHALL RESTORE OR REPLACE ALL PAVEMENT, WALKS, CURBS, DRIVEWAYS, WALLS, ROCKERIES, LANDSCAPING INCLUDING LAWN, FENCES, UTILITIES, METERS, VAULTS, MAILBOXES AND SIGNS, OR RELATED ITEMS DAMAGED BY CONSTRUCTION TO ORIGINAL OR BETTER CONDITION. 7. THE HOURS OF WORK IN STREET RIGHT -OF -WAY SHALL BE LIMITED TO 7 AM TO 5 PM ON WEEKDAYS ONLY (UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED IN WRITING BY PUBLIC WORKS AT 235- 2635). SEE SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR LANE CLOSURE REQUIREMENTS. ALL STREET CLOSURES, PARTIAL OR FULL, SHALL BE APPROVED BY PUBLIC WORKS 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND EMERGENCY 911 SHALL BE NOTIFIED 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF WORK. 8. UTILITY CROSSING LOCATIONS AND ELEVATIONS SHALL BE VERIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR A MINIMUM OF THREE (3) PIPE LENGTHS IN ADVANCE OF NEW FORCE MAIN. PROVIDE ETHAFOAM PAD WHERE CLEARANCE BETWEEN NEW AND EXISTING UTILITY LINES AT CROSSINGS IS LESS THAN 6 ". EROSION CONTROL NOTES 1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN TEMPORARY SEDIMENTATION COLLECTION AND EROSION CONTROL FACILITIES 1'O INSURE THAT SEDIMENT LADEN WATER DOES NOT ENTER THE NATURAL OR PUBLIC DRAINAGE SYSTEM. AS CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSES AND UNEXPECTED (SEASONAL) CONDITIONS DICTATE, MORE SILTATION CONTROL FACILITIES MAY BE REQUIRED TO INSURE COMPLETE SILTATION CONTROL OF THE PROJECT. THEREFORE, DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRUCTION IT SHALL BE THE OBLIGATION AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO ADDRESS ANY NEW CONDITIONS THAT MAY BE CREATED BY HIS ACTIVITIES AND TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FACILITIES THAT MAY BE NEEDED TO PROTECT ADJACENT PROPERTIES. 2. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ESC FACILITIES NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE WORK ON THESE PLANS AND THE CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE, REPLACEMENT AND UPGRADING OF THESE ESC FACILITIES IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR UNTIL ALL CONSTRUCTION IS APPROVED. 3. THE ESC FACILITIES SHALL BE INSPECTED DAILY BY THE CONTRACTOR AND MAINTAINED AS NECESSARY TO ENSURE THEIR CONTINUED FUNCTIONING. 4. ANY AREA NEEDING ESC MEASURE, NOT REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ATTENTION, SHALL BE ADDRESSED WITHIN FIFTEEN (15) DAYS. 5. THE ESC FACILITIES ON INACTIVE SITES SHALL BE INSPECTED AND MAINTAINED A MINIMUM OF ONCE A MONTH OR WITHIN 48 HOURS FOLLOWING A STORM EVENT. 6. AT NO TIME SHALL MORE THAN FOOT OF SEDIMENT BE ALLOWED TO ACCUMULATE WITHIN A CATCH BASIN. ALL CATCH BASINS AND CONVEYANCE LINES SHALL BE CLEANED PRIOR TO PAVING. THE CLEANING OPERATION SHALL NOT FLUSH SEDIMENT LADEN WATER INTO THE DOWNSTREAM SYSTEM. 7. DURING THE TIME PERIOD OF NOVEMBER 1 THROUGH MARCH 31, ALL PROJECT DISTURBED AREAS GREATER THAN 5,000 SQUARE FEET THAT ARE TO BE LEFT UNWORKED FOR MORE THAN 12 HOURS SHALL BE COVERED BY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COVER MEASURES: MULCH, SODDING OR PLASTIC COVERING. 8. WHERE SEEDING FOR TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL IS REQUIRED, FAST GERMINATING GRASSES SHALL BE APPLIED AT AN APPROPRIATE RATE (E.G. ANNUAL OR PERENNIAL RYE APPLIED AT APPROXIMATELY 80 POUNDS PER ACRE). 9. WHERE STRAW MULCH FOR TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL IS REQUIRED, IT SHALL BE APPLIED AT A MINIMUM THICKNESS OF TWO INCHES.
