ALL PUMPING AND FILLING OF TANKS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 1119 OF THE 1991 UNIFORM BUILDING CODE OR THE MOST RECENTLY ADOPTED VERSION BY THE CITY. 9. VENTING OF THE GREASE INTERCEPTOR SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WI'iN CHAPTERS 4, 5 & 7 OF THE 1991 UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE OR THE MOST RECENTLY ADOPTED VERSION BY THE CITY OF RENTON. 10. THE GREASE INTERCEPTOR AND ANY SEWER LINE CONNECTED TO THE EXISTING PUBLIC SEWER LINE SHALL REMAIN UNDER THE OWNERSHIP OF THE PROPERTY OWNER WHO SHALL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE. 11. GREASE INTERCEPTORS LOCATED IN A PAVED AREA SHALL COMPLY WITH THE HS -20 LOADING STANDARDS. 12. ALL BUILDING SEWER INSTALLATION MUST COMPLY WITH CITY OF RENTON PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES DEPARTMENT STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS. ALL POLYVINYL CHLORIDE PIPE SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) FEET OF COVER IN A DRIVING SURFACE. IF 5 FEET OF COVER CANNOT BE OBTAINED, THE COVER CAN BE REDUCED TO 3 FEET WITH THE USE OF CLASS 52 DUCTILE IRON PIPE OR CONCRETE ENCASEMENT. 13. PARALLEL WATER AND SEWER LINES HAVE A MINIMUM OF 10 FEET OF HORIZONTAL SEPARATION. 14. ALL UTILITIES CROSSING SEWER LINES MUST HAVE PROPER VERTICAL CLEARANCE. THE STANDARD VERTICAL SEPARATION FOR WATER LINES IS 3 FEET ABOVE THE SEWER LINE AND 1.5 FEET FOR ALL OTHER UTILITIES. CONCRETE ENCASEMENT OF SEWER LINES WILL BE PERMITTED FOR WATER MAINS CROSSING AT LESS THAN 3 FEET BUT NO CLOSER THAN 1.5 FEET. THE SANITARY SEWER ENCASEMENT SHALL BE 10 FEET ON EACH SIDE OF THE CROSSING. 15. THE CONTRACTOR, DESIGN ENGINEER AND THE OWNER SHALL ATTEND A MANDATORY PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR MUST OBTAIN AN ISSUED GREASE INTERCEPTOR PERMIT PRIOR TO SCHEDULING THE PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE. 16. ALL CLEANOUTS NOT IN PAVED AREAS SHALL HAVE LOCKING LIDS CONSTRUCTION NOTES 1. ALL MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LATEST EDITION OF THE CITY OF RENTON SANITARY SEWER STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS AND THE CITY OF RENTON SEWER UTILITY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE. 2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER IN THE EVENT OF DISCOVERY OF POOR SOILS, STANDING GROUND WATER OR DISCREPANCIES FROM THE PLANS IN GRADES, LOCATIONS AND CONSTRUCTION OF UTILITIES, STRUCTURES AND OTHER EXISTING CONDITIONS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY LOCATION AND ELEVATION OF CONNECTION PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. 3. TESTING BY AIR OR WATER EXIILTRATION IS REQUIRED ON ALL SEWER INCLUDING DRY LINES. CITY OF RENTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES REQUIRES A MINIMUM 24 -HOUR ADVANCED NOTICE FOR SITE INSPECTION. 4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REGISTERED WITH THE CITY OF RENTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES AND HAVE A VALID $5,000.00 STREET OBSTRUCTION BOND. S. CITY OF RENTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES REQUIRES THAT THE OWNER OR REPRESENTATIVE, THE ENGINEER AND THE CONTRACTOR SCHEDULE A PRE- CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE FOR ALL WORK ON THESE PLANS. THE CONFERENCE SHOULD BE SCHEDULED A MINIMUM OF TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK. 6. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO OBTAIN NECESSARY PERMITS, EASEMENTS AND RELEASES. 7. ANY REVISIONS TO THESE PLANS, ONCE APPROVED BY CITY OF RENTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES MUST BE REVIEWED AND REAPPROVED BY CITY OF RENTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND ENGINEERING SECTION PRIOR TO IMPLEMENTATION IN THE FIELD. 8. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO HAVE A SET OF THESE APPROVED PLANS ON THE JOB SITE WHENEVER CONSTRUCTION IS IN PROGRESS. 9. SIDE SEWER STUBS SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED LESS THAN 10 FEET FROM PROPERTY LINES. 10. ALL MANHOLES LOCATED IN NON -PAVED AREAS SHALL HAVE WATERTIGHT LOCKING LIDS AND CONCRETE COLLARS. ALL NON- WATERTIGHT MANHOLES SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH FROSCO PRECO SEWER GUARDS. 11. ALL NEW MANHOLES WILL BE PRE - CHANNELED WITH GU MANHOLE LINERS. 12. THE MINIMUM VERTICAL SEPARATION BETWEEN WATER AND SEWER MAINS SHALL BE 3 FEET. IF THE 3 FOOT CLEARANCE CANNOT BE OBTAINED, A 1.5 FOOT CLEARANCE WILL BE ALLOWED IF THE SANITARY SEWER IS CONCRETE ENCASED 10 FEET ON EACH SIDE OF THE CROSSING OR CLASS 52 DUCTILE IRON PIPE IS USED FOR THE SEWER AND ONE LENGTH OF PIPE IS CENTERED ON THE WATER LINE. 13. MINIMUM VERTICAL SEPARATION BETWEEN SEWER AND OTHER UTILITIES SHALL BE 1.5 FEET. IF MINIMUM CLEARANCE CANNOT BE OBTAINED, THEN A 0.75 FOOT CLEARANCE WILL BE ALLOWED IF THE SANITARY SEWER IS CONCRETE ENCASED AT 10 FEET EACH SIDE OF THE CROSSING OR CLASS 52 DUCTILE IRON PIPE IS USED FOR THE SEWER AND IT IS CENTERED ON THE OTHER UTILITY. 14. THE MINIMUM COVER OVER A PVC OR CONCRETE SHALL BE 5 FEET IN DRIVING SURFACES AND 3 FEET IN NONPAVED AREAS. HOWEVER, 3 FEET OF COVER WILL BE ALLOWED IN DRIVING AREAS IF CLASS 52 DUCTILE IRON PIPE IS USED. 15. THE MINIMUM HORIZONTAL SEPARATION BETWEEN SEWER AND WATER MAINS SHALL BE 10 FEET- 16. HYDROSTATIC TEST OF FORCE MAIN SHALL BE TESTED AT 150 PERCENT OF THE WORKING PRESSURE OR 50 PSI HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, FOR THE PIPE SIZE UP TO 2 -INCH DIAMETER. TESTING SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 10 MINUTE DURATION WITH NO LOSS OF PRESSURE. HYDROSTATIC TESTING WILL INCLUDE THE PUMP CHECK AND BALL VALVES. 17. HYDROSTATIC TESTING WILL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF RENTON UTILITY SANITARY SEWER SPECIFICATIONS, LATEST EDITION. 18.
