THE CONTRACTOR SHALL IMPLEMENT BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES (BMPS) TO ELIMINATE OR MINIMIZE POLLUTION DISCHARGE CAUSED BY CONSTRUCTION. 8. WHERE THE PLANS OR SPECIFICATIONS DESCRIBE PORTIONS OF THE WORK IN GENERAL TERMS BUT NOT IN COMPLETE DETAIL, IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT ONLY THE BEST GENERAL PRACTICE IS TO PREVAIL AND THAT ONLY MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP OF HIGH QUALITY ARE TO BE USED. 9. PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE WORK THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO CLEAN AND REPAIR ON AND OFF -SITE ROADWAYS, CURBS, AND SIDEWALKS USED DURING THE COURSE OF THEIR CONSTRUCTION. 10.
