HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5348CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO.5348 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON, AMENDING CHAPTER 2,ZONING DISTRICTS -USES AND STANDARDS,OF TITLE IV (DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS)OF ORDINANCE NO.4260 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON", ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ANNEXED WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM KING COUNTY ZONING TO RESIDENTIAL-4 (RESIDENTIAL FOUR DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE)(BENSON HILL COMMUNITIES,FILE NO.CPA 2007-M-06). WHEREAS,under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2,Land Use Districts,of Title IV (Development Regulations)of Ordinance No.4260 entitled '''Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,Washington,"as amended,and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith,the property herein below described has not been zoned in the City of Renton;and WHEREAS,registered voters petitioned the City of Renton for annexation and concurrent rezoning,which annexation having been approved and the property annexed to the City of Renton,and the City having held two public hearings to consider this zoning application, the first hearing being held on July 25,2007,and the second hearing being held on October I, 2007,and the zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan,as amended,and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto,and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I.The following described property in the City of Renton is zoned to Residential -4.The annual ordinance adopting the maps of the City's zoning ordinance is hereby amended to evidence said rezoning and the EDNSP Administrator is hereby authorized and I ORDINANCE NO.5348 directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance,as amended,to evidence said rezoning,to wit: See Exhibit A,including a legal description and map,is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein: The properties,approximately 55.7 acres,are generally located in the Northwest quarter of Section 5 and the Northeast quarter of Section 6,both in Township 22 North,Range 5 East,W.M.,King County,Washington,lying north of the northerly right of way margin of 200 th St.and SE 200 th St.,westerly and southerly of the existing limits of the City of Renton. Exhibit B,including a legal description and map,is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein: The properties,approximately 0.5 acres,are generally located in the Northwest quarter of Section 5,Township 22 North,Range 5 East,W.M.,in King County, Washington,lying north of the northerly right of way margin ofSE 200th St,westerly and southerly of the existing limits of the City of Renton. Exhibit C,including a legal description and map,is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein: The properties,approximately 79.3 acres,are generally located in the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 5,Township 22 North,Range 5 East, W.M.,in King County Washington,except that portion lying in Lots 1 and 2 of King County;the Southwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 32,Township 23 North,Range 5 East,W.M.,in King County Washington;and the Northwest quarter of said Southwest quarter lying south of the existing limits of the City of Renton.
