Subject: Insurance documents for new consultant contract with RH2 Engineering for Highlands 435
Emergency Generator Replacement
Hello Gary,
Could you please review the attached insurance certificate and policy coverage forms for a new
engineering consultant contract in the amount of $48,980.00 with RH2 Engineering for the design
of the replacement of the emergency generator and the relocation of City’s radio equipment at the
Highlands 435-reservoir site? Could you please provide us with a memo of approval if the
documents meet City’s standards?
The following is a summary of the contract’s scope of work:
The existing 125 kW diesel engine generator at the Highlands pump station is failing and needs to
be replaced. In addition, the City’s signal shops wants to relocate the VHF radio equipment to
another building on-site.
Under the proposed contract with RH2 Engineering, the consultant will perform the following
tasks:
Prepare civil site plan, underground utilities, structural, electrical and telemetry plans for the
construction of the emergency power generator and relocation of the City’s VHF radio
equipment.
Develop technical specifications for public construction bids and contract documents and
provide a construction cost estimate.
Provide technical support to City’s staff during the public bidding of the construction
contract and services during the construction of the project including, inspection, review of
contractors’ request for information and change orders.
Thank you,
