Wilson Subject: Insurance documents for new consultant contract with RH2 Engineering for Highlands 435 Emergency Generator Replacement   Hello Gary,   Could  you please  review  the  attached insurance  certificate and policy coverage  forms  for a  new engineering  consultant  contract in  the  amount of  $48,980.00  with  RH2  Engineering  for the  design of the  replacement  of the  emergency generator  and the  relocation of  City’s radio equipment at  the Highlands 435-reservoir site?  Could  you please  provide us with  a  memo  of  approval  if  the documents  meet City’s standards? The following  is  a  summary of the  contract’s scope of work:   The existing 125 kW  diesel  engine  generator at  the  Highlands pump station  is  failing  and needs to be  replaced. In addition, the  City’s signal shops  wants to relocate  the  VHF radio equipment to another  building on-site.   Under  the  proposed  contract with  RH2  Engineering, the  consultant  will  perform  the  following tasks: Prepare  civil  site plan, underground  utilities, structural, electrical  and telemetry plans  for the construction of the  emergency power  generator and relocation of  the  City’s VHF radio equipment.  Develop  technical  specifications for public construction bids  and contract documents  and provide a  construction cost  estimate.  Provide technical  support to City’s staff  during  the  public bidding  of  the  construction contract and services  during  the  construction of  the  project  including, inspection, review  of contractors’ request for information  and change orders.    Thank  you,   Abdoul Gafour Water  Engineering  Supervisor City  of  Renton  Public Works 1055 S Grady  Way Renton, WA  98057 425-430-7210 agafour@rentonwa.gov
