HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5075CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO.5075 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ANNEXED WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM R-4 (URBAN RESIDENTIAL 4DU PER ACRE,KING COUNTY ZONING)TO R-8 (RESIDENTIAL 8 DUlAC;EIGHT DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE) (CARLO;FILE NO.A-03-002). WHEREAS,under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2,Land Use Districts,of Title IV (Development Regulations)of Ordinance No.4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,Washington,"as amended,and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith,the property hereinbelow described has not been zoned in the City ofRenton;and WHEREAS,said property owners petitioned the City of Renton for annexation and concurrent rezoning,which said annexation having previously been approved and the property annexed to the City of Renton,and the City having held two public hearings to consider this zoning application,the first hearing being held on February 9,2004,and the second hearing being held on May 10,2004,and said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan,as amended,and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto,and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I.The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby zoned to R-8 as hereinbelow specified.The annual ordinance adopting the maps of the City's zoning ordinance is hereby amended to evidence said rezoning and the EDNSP Administrator is 1 ORDINANCE NO.5075 hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance,as amended,to evidence said rezoning,to wit: See Exhibits "A"and "B"attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. [Said property,approximately 37 acres,is located in the SW 14 of the NE 14 of the NW 14,and the north half (1/2)of the SE 14 of the NW 14,all in Section 15, Township 23 North,Range 5 East,W.M.in King County,Washington; TOGETHER WITH the north half (1/2)of the north half (1/2)of the SW 14 of the SW 14 ofthe NW 14 of said Section 15;and TOGETHER WITH the north half (1/2)of the SE 14 of the SE 14 of the NW 14 of said Section 15;which is basically south ofNE 3rd Street,if extended,and east of 136th Avenue SE,if extended,east to and including 140th Avenue SE,south of the middle ofSE 13200 Street,ifextended.] SECTION II.This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval,and five days after its publication.
