HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4998CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 4998 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM COMMERCIAL OFFICE ZONING TO RESIDENTIAL OPTIONS ZONING, FILE NO. LUA-01-162. WHEREAS, under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2, Land Use Districts, of Title IV (Development Regulations) of Ordinance No. 4260 known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property described below has previously been zoned as Commercial Office; and WHEREAS, the City of Renton initiated a proceeding for change of zone classification of the property. This matter was duly referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study, and public hearing, and a public hearing was held on November 6, 2002, and this matter was considered by the Planning Commission, and the zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and the City Council having considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto having been heard; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Residential Option (R-10). The Neighborhood and Strategic Planning Division is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence this rezoning, to wit: ORDINANCE NO. 49 9 8 See Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. (Property consisting of approximately 5.61 acres located south of S. 37th Street, and west of the dead-end at S. 38* Street west of Talbot Road.) SECTION II. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval and five days after its publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 16th day of December 2002. Bonnie I.
