HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4925CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 4925 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ANNEXED WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM R-4 (URBAN RESIDENTIAL 4DU PER ACRE, KING COUNTY ZONING) TO R-8 (RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY; EIGHT DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE) (PIELE; FILE NO. A-01-001). WHEREAS, under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2, Land Use Districts, of Title IV (Development Regulations) of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington," as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has not been zoned in the City of Renton; and WHEREAS, said property owners petitioned the City of Renton for annexation and concurrent rezoning, which said annexation having previously been approved and the property annexed to the City of Renton, and the City having held two pubhc hearings to consider this zoning application, the first hearing being held on August 6, 2001, and the second hearing being held on November 19, 2001, and said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 1 ORDINANCE NO. 4925 SECTION I. The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby zoned to R-8 as hereinbelow specified. The annual ordinance adopting the maps of the City's Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to evidence said rezoning and the EDNSP Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning, to wit: See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. [Said property, consisting of approximately 20 acres, located approximately 600' north ofNE 4th Street in two approximately 10-acre tracts located along both sides of 142nd Avenue SE.] SECTION II.
