RESOLUTION NO.3157
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
RENTON PUBLIC LIBRARY AND THE DIRECTOR OF THE RENTON
PUBLIC LIBRARY TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENT WITH THE KING COUNTY RURAL LIBRARY DISTRICT
CONCERNING A LIBRARY COOPERATIVE USE AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS,the City of Renton presently operates its own
library;and
WHEREAS,the King County Library System has certain
capabilities that would be beneficial to the citizens of the City
of Renton above and beyond what can be provided by the Renton
Public Library;and
WHEREAS,the City of Renton and the King County Library System
wish to enter into a Library Cooperative Use Agreement that would
be mutually beneficial;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.

SECTION II.
RESOLUTION NO.3157
The President of the Board of Trustees of the
Renton Public Library and the Director of the Renton Public Library
are hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal cooperative
agreement with the King County Rural Library District for library
cooperative use.
