RESOLUTION NO. 3501
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
. AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE
WASHINGTON STATE OFFICE OF THE ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE
COURTS REGARDING A LIMITED REIMBURSEMENT FOR
EXPENSES INCURRED IN PURCHASING 12 REPLACEMENT
PERSONAL COMPUTERS FOR USE BY THE CITY OF RENTON
MUNICIPAL COURT STAFF.
WHEREAS, the Legislature has approved funding to replace personal computers for the
staff of municipal courts throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, the staff of each municipal court needs direct access to information
maintained on the judicial information system; and
WHEREAS, replacement personal computers would allow the Renton Municipal Court
staff such access; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Administrator for the Courts has established criteria to
identify municipal courts that qualify for replacement of personal computers; and
WHEREAS, our Renton Municipal Court staff meets the criteria established by the Office
of the Administrator for the Courts; and
WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits agreements between
governmental entities; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Administrator for the Courts, the courts of the state of
Washington, and the Washington cities and counties share a vital interest in providing replacement
personal computers to the staff members of the various municipal courts throughout the state;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correction all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into
an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the Office of the Administrator for the Courts
providing for limited reimbursement for expenses incurred in purchasing 12 replacement personal
computers for the Renton Municipal Court staff.
