RESOLUTION NO. 343 6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF HOUSER WAY
NORTH FOR BORING UNDERNEATH THE ROADWAY AND BNSF
RAILROAD TRACKS.
WHEREAS, the City has previously determined that the temporary closure of Houser
Way North would be advantageous to the installation of fiber optics cable at the least impact to
the traffic flow on North 3rd Street; and
WHEREAS, the location of the large boring machinery will necessitate the temporary
closure of Houser Way North between North 3rd Street to Brook Avenue North for 45 days to
end by April 15, 2000; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code section 9-9-3 the City Council is to authorize such
closure by means of a Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The City Council does hereby authorize the closure of Houser Way North
between North 3rd Street and North Brook Street for a period of approximately 45 days to
commence approximately February 15, 2000.
