RESOLUTION NO. 3 416
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE OFFICE OF
THE ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE COURTS REGARDING A LIMITED
REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES INCURRED IN PURCHASING A
PERSONAL COMPUTER AND PRINTER FOR USE BY THE CITY OF
RENTON MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE.
WHEREAS, the Legislature has approved funding to provide personal computers and
laser printers to municipal court judges; and
WHEREAS, municipal court judges need direct access to domestic violence related
information maintained on the judicial information system; and
WHEREAS, a personal computer would allow the Renton Municipal Court judge such
access; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Administrator for the Courts has established criteria to
identify judges who qualify for personal computers and printers; and
WHEREAS, our Renton Municipal Court judge meets the criteria established by the
Office of the Administrator for the Courts; and
WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits agreements between
governmental entities; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Administrator for the Courts, the courts of the state of
Washington, and the Washington cities and counties share a vital interest in providing personal
computers and printers to the judges of municipal courts;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correction all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the Office of the Administrator for the Courts providing
for limited reimbursement for expenses incurred in purchasing a personal computer and printer for
the Renton Municipal Court judge.
