RESOLUTION NO. 3 4 2 5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION ROAD SERVICES DIVISION ENTITLED
"REIMBURSEMENT-COMMITMENT TO PAY" FOR ROAD
CONSTRUCTION ON THE N.W. 2ND STREET STORM SYSTEM
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, N.W. 2nd Street, west of Taylor Avenue N.W., serves several single-family
homes located in both the City of Renton and in King County; and
WHEREAS, runoff from an upstream tributary area flows down N.W. 2"d Street onto Taylor
Avenue,N.W.; and
WHEREAS, such runoff is damaging the road pavement surfaces; and
WHEREAS, during freezing temperature ice forms on N.W. 2"d Street and at the
intersection of N.W. 2"d Street and Taylor Avenue N.W. creating a safety hazard to motorists and
pedestrians; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton and King County have agreed to jointly address these
problems; and
WHEREAS, King County has the majority of the property within its jurisdiction and so has
agreed to take the lead in performing this work; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Renton to commit to pay its portion of this
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.

SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
with King County Department of Transportation Road Services Division entitled "Reimbursement-
Commitment to Pay" for installation of a storm drainage system at N.W. 2nd Street and S. 132nd
Avenue in the amount of$31,607.00.
