RESOLUTION NO. 3292
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY
ENTITLED "COMMUTE TRIP REDUCTION ACT INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT. "
. WHEREAS, the City of Renton, pursuant to the Commute Trip
Reduction Act, is required to develop and implement commute trip
reduction plans; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature has appropriated funds to provide
technical assistance funding to the City; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation,
by law, distributes these funds to the counties, which in turn
distributes the funds to the cities; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and
conditions under which the county will distribute commute trip
reduction funds to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City IlClerk are hereby
authorized to enter into an interlocal cooperative agreement with
King County entitled "Commute Trip Reduction Act Interlocal
Agreement. "
