AN ORDINANCE CF THE CITY OF RENTUN, ;J'kSHINGTCN,
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERkITORY TO THE CITY CF RENTON
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the 1945 Session
Laws of the State of Washington, as amended, a petition in writing request-
ing that certain territory contiguous to the city limits of the City of
Renton, as hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed to the City,,
was prepared and filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or
about September 1, 1959, bearing the signatures of the owners of more than
seventy-five per cent (75 ) in value according to the assessed valuation
for general taxation of the territory for which annexation is petitioned
herein, which petition sets forth the legal description of the.property
according to governmental legal subdivision or plats, and was accompanied
by a plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of the territory petitioned
to be annexed; and the planning Commission of the City of Renton having
heretofore considered and recommended the annexing of said property to the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Renton by resolution
fixed Tuesday, September 8, 1959, at 8:00 P. M., at the City Council
Chambers in the City Hall of the City of kenton, as the time and place
for public hearing upon said petition, and public notice thereof having
been given as required by law, including publication in the City's legal
newspaper, inviting all interested persons to appear thereat and voice
approval or disapproval of or objections to the proposed annexation, and
a public hearing having been held at the time and place specified in a-
foresaid notice, and the Council having been advised in the premises and
having heard all matters in connection therewith, and the granting of said
petition being deemed proper and advisable and in the public interest,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT CRDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 128 of the
1945 Session Laws of the State of Washington, as amended, it is deter-
mined that the above mentioned petition for annexation to the City of Ren-
ton of the property and territory hereinbelow described be and it is here-
by approved and granted, and the following described property being con-
tiguous to the city limits of the City of Renton situated in King County,
State of Washington, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of
Renton, effective on and after the passage, approval and publication of
this Ordinance; and on and after said date said territory shall const-

and ordinances then thereafter enforced; said property being described

Beginning at the intersedtion of the south line of Section 5, Twp.
23 N., Range 5 E.W.M, with the inner harbor line of the Lake Washing-
ton Shorelands; thence Northeasterly and continuing Northwesterly,
northerly and Northeasterly along the said inner harbor line of the
Lake Washington Shorelands to the North line of Government Lot 4;
thence Easterly along the North line of Government Lot 4 to the West
line of Primary State Highway No. 1, FAI-405; thence Southerly along
the West line of Primary State Highway No. I, FAI-405 to the North
line of Tract 108; C. D. Hillmants Lake Washington Garden of Eden,
Division No. 2; thence West along the North Line of said Tract 108
to the East line of 106th Ave. S. E.; thence North along the East
line of 106th Ave. So E. to the North line of S, E. 84th Street;
thence West along the North line of S. E, 894th Street to the East
line of Lake Washington Boulevard S. E.; thence Southerly along the
East line of Lake Washington Boulevard S. E. to the Northwesterly
line of Tract 47, Eldon Acres Addition; thence northeasterly along
the Northwesterly lines of Tracts 47 and 33, Eldon Acres Addition to
the North line of Tract 32, Eldon Acres Addition produced West; thence
East along the North line of said Tract 32 to the Northeasterly line
of 102nd Place; thence Southeasterly along the Northeasterly line of
102nd Flace to the Northerly line of S.E. 98th street; thence East-
erly along the Northerly line of S. E. 96th Street to the West line
of 106th Ave. S. E.; thence North along the west line of 106th Ave.
S. E. to the North line of Tract 14, Eldon ilcres Addition produced
West; thence East along the North line of said Tract 14 to the East
line of Primary State Highway No. 1, FAI-405; thence South along
the East line of Primary State Highway No. I, FAI-405 to the South
line of Section 5, Twnsp 23 North, Range 5, E.W.M.; thence West
along the South line of said Section 5 to the intersection with the
inner harbor line of the Lake Washington Shorelands, the point of
beginning; however excluding that land lying south of S. E. 80th
Street and north of the south line of S. E. 81�th Street easterly
from the east line of Lake Washington Boulevard S. E.; but except
that portion of Government Lot No. 1 lying south of S. E. 80th Street,
southeasterly of Lake Washington Boulevard S. E., west of State High-
way No. I, FAI-405 and northeasterly of a line running North 62* 591
05" west from a point South 1* 421 13" East, 9d6.85 feet from the
Northeast corner of said Government Lot No. 1.
SECTION I1: The above described annexed property contiguous to Precinct
No. I of the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part of Precinct
No. I of the City of Renton.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law.
Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County
Commissioners of King County, State of Washington, and such other govern-
mental agencies as provided by law. I ----
