WrR!_ AS, a proper petition for vacating portion of Seventh Avenue in
the City :+f R^nton, ring Conr!ty, State of Washington, as hereinafter more
particularly described, was duly filed with the City clerk of the City of
?penton, on the 20th day of August, 195'11 by more than two-thirds of the
owners of all of the property shutting upon said portion of Seventh "venue
sought to be vacated, to -*.cit: by the o'rners of the south 100 feet of 'Tract 18,
Plat No.. 1, Renton Cooperative Coal Company's Acre Tracts, w.giich petition was
on that day received and read at the regular meeting of the City Council, and
WIFE MAS, the City Council by ResolutionNo. 818 adopted on the 21st day of
August, 19,51, dial fix the 25th day of September, 1951, as the date of public
hearing on said petition and directed the Clerk to give notice of said hear-
ing in the manner provided by law; and VME. RaS the City Clerk has duly caused
notice of such hearing to be published and tc be posted on said portion of
the Street sought to be vacated for the time and in thn manner provided by
lair; and iMERIM, a public hearing was duly held 'upon said petition on the
day so fixed at a regular meeting of the City Council and no protest or ob-
jection to the granting of the said petition or the vacating of said portion
of Seventh Avenue having been made, filed or received, and the City Council
did at that time vote to grant said petition for vacating; and 'sifEREAS, the
City Council finds that the vacating of the hereinafter described portion
of thn street is proper and advantageous to all concerned and will serve the
public interest and will not cause injury or damage to any propertis or per-
sons; but the granting of said petition is in the public interest; now,
therefore,
BE IT" ORDAINE'D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, as follows:
Section 1: The folloving described portion of Seventh Avenue, to -wit:
The north 30 feet of Seventh Avenue (Section Street) from the
west side of Cedar Street to the east side of Main Street, in
the City of Renton, King County, State of Washington,
be and is hereby vacated.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its pas-
sage, approval and publication in accordance with the law.
PASSED by the City Council of Renton this 25th day of September, 1951.
