RESOLUTION NO. 3107
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR SEISMIC RETROFIT
OF HOUSER WAY BRIDGE AND WILLIAMS AVENUE BRIDGE AT CEDAR
RIVER.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton wishes to consider the Seismic
Retrofit of the Houser Way Bridge and Williams Avenue Bridge at
the Cedar River; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation
has available certain funding for preliminary engineering and
construction for -that project; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions under which that funding
will be made available to the City must be. memorialized through an
Interlocal Cooperative Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the
Washington State Department of Transportation for grant funding of
the current and subsequent stages of the Houser Way Bridge and
Williams Avenue Bridge at the Cedar River, and are further
authorized to accept said grant awards and to sign all necessary
documents .
