RESOLUTION NO. 3120
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER
INTO A TURNBACK AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR SHATTUCK AVENUE SOUTH
BETWEEN SOUTH GRADY WAY AND SOUTH 7TH STREET.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton, pursuant to agreements signed in
1979, agreed to have the Washington State Department of
Transportation (WSDOT) assume jurisdiction over certain City roads
to construct the extension of Shattuck Avenue South through the
Renton Park & Ride lot between South Grady Way and South 7th
Street; and
WHEREAS, WSDOT has completed that construction; and
,"WHEREAS, pursuant to previous agreement with WSDOT the state
was to transfer jurisdiction over this roadway to the City which is
accomplished, by .means of an agreement entitled "City/Town Turnback
Agreement" for .Shattuck Avenue South;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into a turnback agreement with the Washington State
Department of Transportation entitled "City/Town Turnback
Agreement" for Shattuck Avenue South.
