RESOLUTION NO. 3154
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL . AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF NEWCASTLE FOR THE
CITY OF RENTON TO PROVIDE POLICE SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Newcastle (hereafter referred to as
Newcastle) desires to provide police services to its citizens by
contracting with an existing police department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton (hereafter referred to as Renton)
can provide the police services to Newcastle; and
WHEREAS, Renton has provided estimated costs for the police
services to Newcastle which have been relied upon by Newcastle; and
WHEREAS, Newcastle will make future budget provisions to
provide for such police services based upon the estimated costs
made by Renton; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the agreement between
Renton and Newcastle;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .

SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an interlocal agreement between the City of Renton
and .the City of Newcastle to provide for police services .
