HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 3160 Repeals RES 3095 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 3160 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON SEGREGATING ASSESSMENTS RE LID #329 LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF S. 43RD STREET, TALBOT RD. S. TO SR 167 WHEREAS, the City of Renton has been requested to segregate certain assessments for -Local Improvement District No. 329 as it relates to Parcels 1 and 2; and WHEREAS, the original assessment roll for LID #329 was approved on December 21, 1992; and WHEREAS, Parcels 1 and 2 are legally described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein; and WHEREAS, the amount of the original lump sum assessment for Parcels 1 and 2 was $1,654,063.15; and WHEREAS, Parcel 1 has been segregated into one parcel, Parcel I A; and WHEREAS, Parcel 2 has been segregated into ten parcels, Parcels 2A through 2J, inclusive; and WHEREAS, the owner of Parcels 1 and 2, Valley Medical Center, has agreed to segregate the assessments based on the respective square footages of their ownerships; and WHEREAS, this segregation will not jeopardize the security of the lien for such assessments or reduce the security for any outstanding local improvement district obligations payable from such assessment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The Finance & Information Services Director of the City of Renton is ordered to segregate the original assessment on Parcels 1 and 2 of LID #329 into amended Parcels IA and 2A, 213, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, 2G, 2H, 21, 2J, as legally described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto, with the tracts bearing the following assessments: RESOLUTION NO. 3160 LID No. 329 Square Footage Segregated King County Segregated Parcel #s. Divided by number of square feet 1,731,970.98 SECTION H. The total of these segregated assessments equals the total unpaid assessment before segregation and, if that should not be, then each assessment will be increased proportionately until the sum of the assessments for the eleven parcels will total the unpaid assessment before segregation. SECTION M. As part of the segregation, the Finance & Information Services Director of the City of Renton will collect a fee of $10.00 for each tract for which segregation was made, for a subtotal of$100.00. SECTION IV. The City of Renton chooses to charge its reasonable engineering and clerical costs for this segregation in the amount of $75.00. The total amount of the segregation fee is $175.00.
