RESOLUTION NO. 3068
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, SETTING
A HEARING DATE FOR VACATING A PORTION OF S.W. 16TH
STREET (THE BOEING COMPANY - VAC-94-003)
WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed with the City Clerk of
the City of Renton on or about April 26, 1994, pursuant to the
requirements of RCW 35 . 79, petitioning for the vacation of a
portion of a certain street, as hereinafter more particularly
described, and said petition having been signed by the owners of
more than two-third (2/3) of the property abutting upon a portion
of said street sought to be vacated, and same being described as
follows :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part. hereof
as if fully set forth herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the 18th day of July, 1994 at the hour
of 7 : 30 P.M. at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Court
Building, Renton, King County, Washington, be and is hereby fixed
as the time and place when the aforesaid Petition for vacating
the aforesaid portion of S .W. 16th Street shall be heard and
determined, which said hearing date is not more than sixty nor
less than twenty days from the date of passage of this
Resolution.
SECTION II. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to give notice of said time and hearing as provided in
RESOLUTION NO. 3068
RCW 35 . 79 . 020 and any and/or all persons interested therein or
objecting to said vacation may then appear and be heard thereon,
or they may file their written objections thereto with the City
Clerk at or prior to the time of hearing on said vacation.
SECTION III. The City Council shall determine, as provided
in RCW 35 . 79 . 030, as to whether an appraisal shall be secured to
ascertain the fair market value of the property sought to be
vacated as provided for in Ordinance No. 3635 and the amount of
compensation to be paid by the Petitioner-Owners to the City for
such vacation, but which said amount shall not exceed one-half
( 1/2 ) of the appraised value of the area to be vacated.
The City likewise reserves the right to retain an
easement for public utility and related purposes.

Washington, being a portion of 77th Avenue South (King County designation) not
previously vacated by City of Renton Ordinance No. 2192, lying contiguous to SW 16th
Street, in the SE 1/4 of Section 24, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, Willamette
Meridian, being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at a brass disc monument in the centerline of SW 16th Street, said
monument being at the westerly terminus of a course shown as "N 89° 37 57" E a
distance of 122.46 feet", as said street, monument and course are shown on the Record
of Survey recorded in Book 85 of Surveys at pages 27-27A, King County records;
Thence easterly along the centerline of SW 16th Street N 89° 37' 57" E a distance of
246.57 feet;
.Thence leaving said centerline N 00° 22' 03" W a distance of 30.00 feet to the northerly
right-of-way line of said SW 16th Street and the POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence N 44° 3757 E a distance of 21.21 feet;
Thence N 89° 3757 E a distance of 115.00 feet;
Thence S 00° 22' 03" E a distance 15.00 feet;
Thence along the northerly right-of-way line of SW 16th Street S 89° 37' 57"W a distance
of 130.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Contains 1,837 square feet more or less.
