RESOLUTION NO. 3099
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
KING CONSERVATION DISTRICT TO ALLOW THE TRANSFER. OF FUNDS
FROM THE DISTRICT TO THE CITY FOR NATURAL RESOURCE
PROTECTION AND/OR ENHANCEMENT PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is a member of the King Conservation
District as authorized by Resolution No. 2885; and
WHEREAS, the King Conservation District was authorized to charge
a $1 . 25 per parcel assessment against all properties with the
District in accordance with the approved King County Ordinance No.
10981; and
WHEREAS, a condition of the assessment approval required that
one-third of the assessment that is collected from parcels of land
located in cities within the District would be re-distributed to the
cities as either additional services or cash to provide natural
resource protection and/or enhancement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton must enter into an agreement with
the King Conservation District to allow for the transfer of funds or
the acceptance of additional services; and
WHEREAS, such an agreement must be authorized by a resolution of
the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
RESOLUTION NO. 3099
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute an agreement with the King Conservation District to allow the
transfer of funds from the District to the City for natural resource
protection and/or enhancement projects .
