RESOLUTION NO. 2875
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF
WASHINGTON THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
FOR PARTIAL FUNDING OF THE CEDAR RIVER DELTA DREDGING
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the legislature has appropriated $800, 000 to assist
in paying for the Cedar River Dredging Project; and
WHEREAS, disbursement of those funds to the City of Renton
must be made under an agreement; and
WHEREAS, the city and the State of Washington through the
Department of Natural Resources have prepared such an agreement;
and
WHEREAS, signing of that agreement would be mutually
beneficial to the city and Department of Natural Resources .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the State of
Washington through the Department of Natural Resources for the
disbursement of up to $800, 000 to aid in the Cedar River Dredging
Pro;ect.
