RESOLUTION NO. 2775
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN A CONTRACT
WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
CONCERNING INSTALLATION OF SIGNALS AT THE MAPLE VALLEY
WYE.
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation is
installing certain improvements on I-405; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation has
agreed to rebuild two signalized intersections in the Maple Valley
Wye as part of said I-405 improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton, as part of the rebuilding of those
two signalized intersections has agreed to fund the design work,
administer the construction, and take over control of the
intersections upon the project's completion; and
WHEREAS, such installation will result in better signal
operation and maintenance and therefore be beneficial to the
taxpayers; and
WHEREAS, the approximate cost of the city's contribution to
this project will be $30, 000 . 00 and the approximate state
contribution will be $206, 000. 00 .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I . The above recitals are hereby found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
enter into an agreement with the Washington State Department of

Transportation for the rebuilding of two signalized intersections in
the Maple Valley Wye.
