RESOLUTION NO. 2704
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT AND INSTALL
ROADWAYS OF THREE, FOUR AND FIVE LANE CONFIGURATIONS,
TO CONSIST OF CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDEWALKS, STORM
DRAINAGE, SANITARY SEWERS, WATER MAINS, PAVING, STREET
LIGHTING, SIGNALIZATION, CHANNELIZATION, UNDERGROUNDING
OF POWER, TELEPHONE AND CABLE TV, DOWNSTREAM DRAINAGE,
CLEANING OF RETENTION PONDS, DITCHING, EXCAVATION AND
CONSTRUCTION OF EMBANKMENTS, TOGETHER WITH APPURTENANCE
THERETO IN AND NEAR N.E. 44TH STREET AND LAKE
WASHINGTON BLVD. N.E. , AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
HEREIN; AND TO CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO
ASSESS THE COST AND EXPENSE OF SAID IMPROVEMENT AGAINST
THE PROPERTIES IN SUCH DISTRICT SPECIALLY BENEFITTED
THEREBY; NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT
TO SAID IMPROVEMENT TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR
OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD
ON MARCH 7, 1988, AND CREATING LOCAL IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 334.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : that it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Renton, Washington, to construct and install roadways
of three, four and five land configurations, to consist of curbs ,
gutters, sidewalks, storm drainage, sanitary sewers, water mains,
paving, street lighting, signalization, channelization,
undergrounding of power , telephone and cable TV, downstream
drainage, cleaning of retention ponds, ditching, excavation and
construction of embankments, together with appurtenances thereto,
in the following described area of the City, to-wit:
1. (a) Description of Local Improvement District No. 334
As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "A" which is
made a part hereof as if fully set forth.
(b) Improvements:

As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "B" which is
made apart hereof as if full set forth.

There shall be included in the foregoing the acquisition and
installation of all necessary valves, fittings, couplings,
connections, equipment and appurtenances, and the acquisition of
any easements, rights-of-way and land that may be required; and
there shall further be included the performance of such work as
may be incidental and necessary to the foregoing construction and
installation.
The City Council may, in its discretion, modify and amend
the details of the foregoing described improvements, including
the financing thereof, where in its judgment it appears
advisable, provided such modifications and amendments do not
substantially alter the general plan of said improvement project.
All of the foregoing shall be in accordance with the plans and
specifications therefor to be prepared by the Director of Public
Works of the City of Renton.
SECTION II: The entire cost and expense of said
improvement, unless hereafter timely modified or amended by the
City Council shall be borne by and assessed against the property
specially benefitted by such improvement to be included in the
local improvement district to be established, embracing as near
as may be all property specially benefitted by such improvement.
There shall be included in the cost and expense of said
improvements all cost items specified in RCW 35.44. 020.
SECTION III : All persons who may desire to object to the
improvement herein described are hereby notified to appear and
present such objections at a meeting of the City Council to be

held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall , Renton, Washington
at 8: 00 P.M. on March 7, 1988, which time and place are hereby
fixed for hearing all matters relating to said proposed
improvement and all objections thereto and for determining the
method of payment for said improvement. The City Clerk shall
give notice of said hearing and said proposed improvement as
required by law.
SECTION IV: The Public Works Director, or his duly
authorized representative, is hereby directed to submit to the
City Council, on or before the aforesaid hearing date, all data
and information required by law to be submitted.

Lots 166, 181, 182, 183, 184, and 185 of C. D. Hillmans Lake .Washington
Garden of Eden Division Number 3 as recorded in Volume 11 Page 81 records of
King County Auditor;
Less Roads and Highways.
Together with
Lots 1, 2, and 3 of C. D. Hillmans Lake Washington Garden of Eden Division

EXHIBIT B
SCOPE OF WORK
Lake Washington Boulevard
Lake Washington Blv'd will be widened to from three lanes except at the
intersection with N.E. 44th St. where it will be widened to four lanes. The
improvements will consist of curb, gutter, sidewalks on one side, storm
drainage, street lighting, channelization, undergrounding of the power,
telephone and cable TV, signalization, landscaping, paving, together with
necessary appurtenances and other associated improvements.
N. E. 44th Street
N.E. 44th Street will be widened to five lanes. The improvements to be
installed will consist of curb, gutter, sidewalks, storm drainage, street
lighting, channelization, undergrounding of the power, telephone and cable TV,
signalization, landscaping, paving, together with necessary appurtenances and
other associated improvements.
N. E. 43rd Street & N. E. 48th Street
N.E. 43rd Street and N.E. 48th Street will be widened to three lanes. The
improvements will consist of curb, gutter, sidewalks, storm drainage, street
lighting, channelization, undergrounding of the power, telephone and cable TV,
signalization, landscaping, paving, together with necessary appurtenances and
other associated improvements.
Jones Avenue N. E.
Jones Avenue N.E. will be widened to three lanes. The improvements will
consist of curb, gutter, sidewalks on one side, storm drainage, street
lighting, channelization, undergrounding of the power, telephone and cable TV,
signalization, landscaping, paving, together with necessary appurtenances and
other associated improvements.
Water Main & Sanitary Sewer Extensions
A 12" water main and an 8 " sanitary sewer will be installed in Lake
Washington Blvd and/or N.E. 44th Street to provide local service to properties
which do not have these services available to their property.
