RESOLUTION NO . 2436
WHEREAS a Petition has been filed with the City Clerk
of the Citv of Renton on or about January 26 , 1982, pursuant to
the requirements of RCW 35 . 79 , petitioning for the vacation of
a portion of a certain street , as hereinafter more particularly
described, and said petition having been signed by the owners of
more than two-thirds of the property abutting upon a portion of
said street sought to be vacated, and same being described as
follows :
As incorporated herein as Der Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth

1-40W THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : That the 15th day of March, 1982 , at the hour
of 8 : 00 P.M. at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building ,
Renton , King County, Washington, be and is hereby fixed as the
time and place when the aforesaid Petition for vacating the
aforesaid portion of street shall be heard and determined, which
said }.tearing date is not more than sixty nor less than
twenty days from the day of passage of this Resolution.
SECTION II : The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to give notice of said time and hearing as provided by
RCW 35 . 79 . 020 and any and/or all persons interested therein or
objecting to said vacation may then appear and be heard thereon,
or thev may file their ;written objections thereto with the City
Clerk at or prior to the time of hearing on said vacation.
SECTION III : she City Council shall determine , as provided
in RCW 35 . 79 . 030 as to whether an appraisal shall be secured to
determine the fair market value of the property sought to be
vacated as *provided for in Ordinance No . 2.349 and the amount of
compensation to be paid by the Petitioner-Owners to the City
for such vacation but which said amount shall not exceed one-half
of the apr_raised value of the area to be vacated.
The City likewise reserves the riht to retain an easement
for public utility and related purposes .

EXHIBIT "A"
All that portion of Jefferson Avenue N. E. ( formerly known as
"J" Street) as shown on the Replat of Blocks 12 , 13 , 14 , 36 ,
37 and 38 of the Corrected Plat of Renton Highlands No. 2 , as
recorded in Volume 59 of Plats , pages 52 and 53 , records of King
County, Washington ;
bounded on the north by a straight line running from the most
westerly corner of lot 5 of Fred Akers Real Estate No . 1 accor-
ding to the plat thereof as recorded in Volume 63 of Plats , page
72 , records of King County , Washington ; thence along the southerly
extension of the northwesterly line of said lot S , S 37009 ' 00" W
a distance of 50 . 00 feet to the most northerly corner of Block
37 of said Replat of said Corrected Plat of Renton Highlands No . 2
and the terminus of said line ;
and bounded on the south by a straight line running from a point
on the westerly line of lot 8 of said Plat of Fred Akers Real
Estate No . 1 which is 15 . 21 feet northerly of the southwest corner
of said lot 8 as measured along said westerly line ; thence
N 73055 ' 00" `rl a distance of 50 . 00 feet to a point on the easterly
line of said Block 37 of said Replat of said Coreected Flat of
Renton Highlands No . 2 and the terminus of said line .
