Home My WebLink AboutRES 2424 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO . 2424 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON4 WASHINGTON , DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT AND INSTALL ROADWAY, INCLUDIN?G CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDEWALKS , PAVING, DRAINAGE, WATERMAIN, STREET LIGHTS, SANITARY SEWERS AND APPURTENANCES THERETO IN AND NEAR THE AREA SOUTH OF SOUTH 43RD STREET AND EAST OF SR 167 AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ; AND TO CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS THE COST AND EXPENSE OF SAID IMPROVEMENT AGAINST THE PROPERTIES IN SUCH DISTRICT SPECIALLY BENEFITTED THEREBY ; NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT TO SAID IMPROVEMENT TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 16, 1981 AND CREATING LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 325. (DAVIS AVE. SOTUTU) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I : That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Renton , Washington , to construct and install a roadway, including curbs , gutters , sidewalks , paving , drainage , watermain , street lights , sanitary sewers and appurtenances thereto , in the following described area of the City , to-wit : 1 . ( a) Description of Local Improvement District No. 325 : As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "A" which is made a part hereof as if fully set forth . ( b) Improvements : As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "B" which is made a part hereof as if fully set forth . There shall be included in the foregoing the acquisition and installation of all necessary valves , fittings , couplings , connections , equipment and appurtenances , and the acquisition: of any easements , rights-of-way and land that may be required ; and there shall further be included the performance of such work as may be -incidental and necessary to the foregoing construction and installation . The City Council may, in its discretion , modify and amend the details of the foregoing described improvement , including the financing thereof, where in its judgment it appears advisable , provided such modifications and amendments do not substantially alter the general plan of said improvement project . All of the foregoing shall be in accordance with the plans and "LID" RESOLUTION PAGE 1 e � specifications therefor to be prepared by the Director of Public Works of the City of Renton . SECTION II : The entire cost and expense of said improvement , unless hereafter timely modified or amended by the City Council , shall be borne by and assessed against the property specially benefitted by such improvement to be included in the local improvement district to be established , embracing as near as may be all property specially benefitted by such improvement . There shall be included in the cost and expense of said improvements all cost items specified in RCW 35. 44. 020 . SECTION III : All persons who may desire to object to the improvement herein described are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall , Rentor, , Washington at 8 : 00 P . M. on November 15 , 1981 , which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to said proposed improvement and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for said improvement . The City Clerk shall give notice of said hearing and said proposed improvement as required by law. SECTION IV : The Public Works Director , or his duly authorized representative , is hereby directed to submit to the City Council , on or before the aforesaid hearing date , all data and information required by law to be submitted . Street to be improved : Davis Avenue South RESOLUTION NO. 2424 EXHIBIT A L.I.D. #325 - Davis Avenue S. That portion of the East one-half of Section 31, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M. , in King County, Washington, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the south right-of-way line of S. 43rd Street (also known as S. 180th St.) with the west line of the east one-half of the north-- east quarter of the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of said Section 31; Thence southerly along said west line to the south line of the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of said Section 31; Thence westerly along said south Line to a point 310 feet westerly of the west right-of-way line of Talbot Road South (Kent-Renton Road) ; Thence southerly and parallel to said westerly right-of-way line a distance of 133 feet; Thence easterly a distance of 310 feet to said west right-of-way Line of Talbot Road South; Thence southerly along said west right-of-way line to the north line of the south 133 feet of the north one-half of the south one-half of the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of said Section 31; Thence westerly along said north line a distance of 327.5 feet; Thence southerly and parallel to said west right-of-way line of Talbot Road South a distance of 133 feet to the south line of the north one-half of the south one- half of the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of said Section 31 ; Thence easterly along said south line a distance of 327.5 feet to said west right- of-way line of Talbot Road south; Thence southerly along said west right-of-way line to the north line of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of said Section 31; Thence westerly along said north line a distance of 270 feet.; Thence southerly and parallel to said west right-of-way line of Talbot Road south a distance of 165 feet more or less to the south line of the north one-half of the N4 of t h e nor-thwest quarter of the southeast quarter of said Section 31; Thence easterly along said south line a distance of 270 feet to the west right-of-- way line of said Talbot Road south; Thence southerly along said west right-of-way lime to the south line of the north one-quarter of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of said Section 31; RESOLU^tION NO. 2424 L.I.D. P a'a e 2 of 2 Resolution No . 2424 EXHIBIT B SCOPE OF WORK The proposed irnproverraents consist of: (1) The complete new construction of proposed Davis Ave. South from the south Zine of Tax Lot 81 in the NE 1/4 of Section 32, Township 23 N., Range 5 E., and a yet unnamed proposed road3,,'ay from the East Zine of Davis Ave. S. to the west line of Talbot Rd, S. aZZ within the boundary of the LID. Included in the above improvements are paving, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, illumination, storm drainage and appurtenances. (2) The new construction of sanitary suers and appurtenances from a manhole 650 feet more or less north of the north line of S. 43rd St. to the southerZy extension of proposed Davis Ave. S. (3) Installation of water main, fire hydrants, and appurtenances in proposed Davis Ave. S. a;,zd the yet unnamed roadway as described above.
