RESOLUTION N0. 2338
WHEREAS residents of Paull ' s Maplewood Addition area have
been encountering problems with access to and from the Maple Valley
Highway, and
WHEREAS such problems represent a hazard to the safety,
health and welfare of these residents as well as the general citizenry
of the City of Renton, and
WHEREAS the problem could be alleviated by signalization at
131st Avenue S.E. and Maple Valley Highway, and
WHEREAS the installation would be in conformance with the
Washington State Traffic Division standards under Warrant #2 which
provides for access to a busy arterial, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I : The above recitals and facts are found to be true
and correct in all respects .
SECTION II : The City Council hereby goes on record as
supporting the citizens ' request for signalization at the intersection
i
of 131st Avenue S .E . and urges the State of Washington to adopt the
State of Washington Transportation design for signalization at that
location as above referenced.
