ORDINANCE NO. 3444
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING A PORTION OF CHAPTER 12, TITLE V (BUST-
NESS REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON"
ELIMINATING THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PAWNBROKER
LICENSES TO BE ISSUED
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing subsection 1 of Section 5-1202,
Title V (Business Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Section 5-1202 1. , as amended: It shall be unlawful for
any person to engage in the business of pawnbroker or to conduct a
pawnshop without first having obtained a license so to do; to be
known and designated as a "pawnbroker's license". The license fee
for a pawnbroker's license shall be, and the same is hereby fixed
in the sum of eighty dollars ($80.00) per annum.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its publication.
