AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON
AMENDING A PORTION OF CHAPTER T bf TITLE IV
(BUILDING REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO . 1628
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF RENTON',' RELATING TO PERMITTED USE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : _ existing Section 4-702 of Title IV (Building
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" is hereby amended by adding the following
definition:
"Truck Terminal" : An area and/or building where cargo
is stored and where common carriers load and unload cargo on a regular
basis . To come within the definition of a truck terminal , the use must
include all of the following criteria :
(a) Receipt , pick-up or delivery of orders placed
by customers
(b) A dispatcher must direct the activities of the
truck drivers
(c) Use by a common carrier to receive shipments
for transloading , transshipping , and/or .
consolidation or from which transportation
ensues after transloading , transshipment , or
deconsolidation.
(d) Storage of rolling stock of the common carrier
when not in use .
SECTION II : Existing subsection A of Section 4-712 , Title
IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended by adding an
additional subsection as follows :
Truck terminals and warehouse facilities associated there-
with may be allowed by Conditional Use Permit as provided in Section
4-722 (F) upon recommendation of the Hearing Examiner after public hearii

thereon and acceptance of the design and approval of the site plan,
including but not limited to the landscaping and screening of adjacent
properties , with a finding that the proposed use is in compliance with
all provisions , regulations and standards of the Subdivision and Zoning
Codes of the City of Renton, is compatible with the uses in the general
area, and will not be unduly detrimental to adjacent properties and
the enjoyment thereof.
SECTION II : Existing subsection A of Section 4-713 ,

of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended by
adding an additional subsection as follows :

SECTION IV_ This Ordinance shall be effective upon
