CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2175
WHEREAS the City of Renton is situated in the Green River
Valley and along certain water courses, and
WHEREAS those water courses do provide and have provided
flood waters and the continuous danger of floods , and
WHEREAS the City of Renton has concern that flooding to people
and property may occur until permanent flood control is implemented,
and
WHEREAS the City of Renton believes that interlocal cooperation
is necessary to provide such solutions , and
WHEREAS a proposed Interlocal Agreement for the Green River
Interim Policy and Regulatory Plan and Work Program is in existence
and has been reviewed by the Council Committee, now therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I: The above facts and recitals are found to be
true and correct in all respects .
SECTION II : The City Council of the City of Renton concurs
in the concept and contents of the proposed Agreement and hereby
authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to sign said Agreement on behalf
of the City of Renton.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 27th day of March, 1978 .
