CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2195
WHEREAS, due to substantial citizen input and certain changes in
the design of SR515, the City Council has been requested to reconsider its
prior Resolution No. 1893 of February 4 , 1974, and
WHEREAS the City Council has held a public hearing on June 22,
1978 at a special meeting of the City Council to consider this topic, and
WHEREAS the City Council has fully reconsidered the advisability
of construction of SR515 as a major arterial road through the City of Renton
and advises that such construction will be in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Renton,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION• L: The above recitals are found to be true and correct.
SECTION II: The City Council re-affirms its support and assistance
for the construction of SR515 as a major arterial road through the City of
Renton, and re-affirms and ratifies in every respect Resolution No. 1893
dated February 4 , 1974.
SECTION III : The City Clerk is authorized and directed to forward
authenticated copies of this Resolution to members of the Senate and House
Transportation Committee, the Department of Transportation, and such other
public officials as may be advisable.
