CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
' RESOLUTION NO. '22 33

WHEREAS certain positions in the Renton Police Department are not covered
by the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiated with the Renton Police Guild; and
WHEREAS the officers of said Department not so covered have requested the
City Council to establish, by this Resolution, certain policies regarding wage
differentials and other fringe benefits, and
WHEREAS the City Council is willing to consider and establish such
"differentials" , NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I : It is hereby established that the following pay differentials
be hereinafter observed in the Police Department, to wit:
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
(a) Pay differential for positions between Sergeant and
the position of Lieutenant 13%
(b) Pay differential for positions between Lieutenant
and the position of Captain 11%
(c) Pay differential for positions between Captain and
the position of Chief 8%
Section II : It shall further be the policy of the City of Renton, that
any and all fringe benefits, including vacations, holidays, medical and dental
programs, uniform allowances, and other like benefits except longevity which
shall be as granted to all other management personnel , now or hereafter granted
to other uniformed personnel in the Police Department and as evidenced by written
collective bargaining agreements, shall likewise apply to the aforementioned
officers of said Department not covered by, or members of such collective
bargaining units.
