RESOLUTION NO. 2076
WHEREAS the City wishes to declare the structure located at
South 4th Place and Shattuck Avenue South a historic building, which building
was built in the year 1918 as a sub-station by the Milwaukee Railroad; and
WHEREAS after due consideration the City considers preservation
and restoration of such buildings to be in the best interest of the citizens
of the City of Renton, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENTON, WASHINGTON as follows:
SECTION I : Subject building, previously a railroad sub-station,
located on Lots 10, 11 , and 12, Block 2, Smithers 5th Addition to Renton, is
hereinafter designated a "historic building" and shall be considered as such
when restoration takes place, and be subject to all the laws and regulations
elating to such "historic building" site, special reference being hereby made
to Section 104(j) , (Chapter 1 ) , of the Uniform Building Code, 1976 Edition.
