CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 1962
WHEREAS there has been introduced a certain Bill known as
HOUSE BILL NO. 66 in the 44th Regular Session of the State of
Washington Legislature , and
WHEREAS said proposed Legislation would allow police officers
to arrest persons for certain crimes committed as specified in
said House Bill No. 66 based on information received by such
police officer to support a reasonable belief that such a crime
has been committed, even though such crime..was not committed in
the immediate presence of such police officer , and
WHEREAS it is believed that such legislation would be helpful
and in the public interest , NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The above recitals and findings are hereby found
to be true and correct in all respects .
SECTION II : The City of Renton hereby declares its intent
to fully support the principles and provisions ashcontained in
said House Bill No. 66 and hereby urges the State Legislative
bodies to enact such Bill into law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 24th day of February , 1975 .
