CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION N0. 1935
� WHEREAS the LEAA has heretofore provided for certain block grants
/ for certain specified purposes , and
WHEREAS the City has heretofore entered into an Interlocal Govern-
mental agreement with King County and others , under date of June 24 , 1974 ,and
WHEREAS the Planning Committee , by and through the King County Law
and Justice Planning Office staff has heretofore prepared certain project
� summaries . and proposals , as required by the State Law and Justice Planning
office , and
WHEREAS the King County Law and Justice Planning Office staff has
furnished unto the City its project summaries in pursuance of the
guidelines set forth by the State agency , which projects include those
for the City of Renton, and
WHEREAS it has been determined that such projects would be in the
best interest of the City of Renton , and the public b.enefit , NOW
THEREFORE ,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO RESO.LVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The above recitals and facts are hereby found to be
true and correct in all respects .
SECTION II : Those certain project summaries as prepared by the King
County Law and Justice Planning Office are hereby attached , labeled
Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein as if fully set forth, including those
projects relating to the City of Renton providing for the reduction of
target crimes , legal assistance to those persons accused of crimas and
who are deemed indigent , and related matters. ,
SECTION III : The City of Renton hereby approves. in principle the
proposed projects as described on the attached Exhibit , and hereby
authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the necessary application
for funding to financially implement said named projects , and to take
such other steps as required by law to carry out its purposes . '

23 . 3. The applican�s for LEA� grant assistance shall

25 review and comment priar to �ubmittal to the State Law and
26 Justice P3.anning 0£fice. '
27 4. The project directo�rs of LEAA grant-funded
28 projects shall submit all LEAA grant progress reports required ;
29 as conditions of grant cont�ac�s to the staf� for review,
30 comment and tr�n�mittal �o �he State Law and Justice Planning
