RESOLUTION N0. 1833 i ' � A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT AND INSTALL SANITARY SEWER LINES AND APPURTENANCES THERETO IN THE VICINITY OF EARLINGTON GARDENS, WEST OF LIND AVENUE S .W. AND TO CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS THE COST AND EXPENSE OF SAID IMPROVEMENT AGAINST THE PROPERTI S IN SUCH DISTRICT SPECIALLY BENEFITED THEREBY�NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT TO SAID IMPROVEMENT TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON February 26 , 1973 ' BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS : SECTION I : That it is the intention of the City Council of the � City of Renton, Washington, to construct and install the following sanitary sewers , including trunk lines , accessories and appurtenances theret`o , in the following described area of the City, to wit: l. (a) Description of Local Improvement District No� 2?$ See Exhibit "A" attached hereto This Resolution is made in support of those certain petitions filed with the City of Renton on or about December �.� 1972, signatures constituting 54.9� of the property owners of the front footag� �a 57.1� of the area abutting the proposed i.mprovement. Pipe Size ON From To See Exhibit "B" attached hereto -1- 1 / • y ' _� • ° _ . � .- . ., • . . . . . `«�' ._ . _. . 4 a ' � • r • • � . c There shall be included in the foregoing the acquisition and installation of all necessary valves , fittings , couplings, connections , equipment and appurtenances, and the acquisition of any easements, rights-of-way and land that may be required; and there shall further be included the performance of such work as may be incidental and � � necessary to the for�going construction and installation. The City Council may, in its discretion, modify and amend the details of the foregoing described improvement, including the financing ' thereof, where in its judgment it appears advisable , provided such modifications and amendments do n.ot substantially alter the general plan of said improvement project . All of the foregoing shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by the City Engineer of the. City of Renton. SECTION II: The entire cost and expense of said improvement9 unless hereafter timely modified or amended by the City Council, shall be borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by such improvement to be included in the local improvement district to be established, embracing as near as may be all property specially benefited by such improvemerit . There shall be included in the cost and expense of said improvements all cost items specified in RCW 35 .44 . 020 . SECTION III: That all persons who may desire to object to the improvement herein described are hereby notified to' appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council to be .held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall , Renton, Washington, at 8 : OOP.M. . on February 26 , 1973 , which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to said proposed improvement and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for said , improvement. NO. 278 AND HEARING THEREON YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the City Council of the City of Renton, Washington on January 8 , 1973 adopted Resolution No. 1833 declar- ing its intention to construct and install sanitary sewer lines and appurtenances thereto in the vicinity of Earlington Gardens, West of Lind Ave. S.W. as described in Exhibit A and Exhibit B attached hereto, and to create a local improvement district to assess the cost and expense of said improvement against the properties in such district specially benefited thereby; in accordance with plans and specifications to be prepared by Bert McHenry, Acting Engineering Director. Reference is made to Resolution No. 1833 for a more particular description of the nature and territorial extent of such improvement. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that a Hearing will be held by the City Council on this proposed improvement on the 26th day of February 1973 at the hour of 8 :00 P.M. , the Renton City Council Chambers, Second Floor, Renton Municipal Building, 200 Mill Avenue South, Renton, Wash- ington 98055. Written protests may be filed at or prior to the time fixed for said Hearing. Protests should give the lot, block and addition and any other identifying description. The total estimated cost and expense of this proposed improve- ment is $86,499 . 05, all of which will be borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by the proposed improvement, unless hereafter timely modified or amended by the City Council.
