CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO.��a
A RESOLUTION ENDORSING"WASHINGTON FUTURET�
BONDS AS EVIDENCED BY REFERENDUMS 26 , 27 ,
28 , 29 , 30 , and 31
WHEREAS the proposed"Washington Future"Program consisting of
bond issues to be voted upon by the electorate of the State of
Washington on November 7 , 1972 consisting of Referendum Bill No . 26
(Bonds for Waste Disposal Facilities) , Referendum Bill No. 27 (Bonds
for Water Supply Facilities) , Referendum Bill No. 28 (Bonds for
Public Recreation Facilities) , Referendum Bill No . 29 (Health ,
Social Service Facilities Bonds) , Referendum Bill No. 30 (Bonds for
Public Transportation Im�rovements) and Referendum Bill No. 31 (Bonds
for Community College Facilities) identify critical and timely needs
for governmental action and the successful passage of said Referendum
Bills are absolutely necessary for the protection and furtherance of
the public health, education and general welfare , together with the
protection of our natural resources , and
WHEREAS local government cannot by itself ineet the demands for
action in these areas without. adequate support of State funding, and
WHEREAS the'TWashington Future"propositions as hereinabove set
forth provide this needed support , NOW THEREFORE ,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The above stated Findings and recitals are hereby
found to be true and correct in all respects . _
SECTION II : The City of Renton hereby goes on record in
support of the aforespecified Referendum Bills , commonly known as
the "Washington Future" proposals arid hereby recommends to the voters
of the City of Renton and the State of Washington to fully support said
Referendums 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 and 31.
