approved May 20, 1996, and after due investigation did fix and

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : I,
SECTION I . The following des_cribed street, to wit : I�i

be and the same is hereby vacated subject to an easement over,
across, under, and on all of the aforedescribed property in favor of

� the City for utility and related purposes .

� SECTION II . The City Council hereby elects to waive all fees

� and costs of compensation required under current City Code for the

filing, processing; appraisa-1 -and� •transfer--�ot�-,property, and �instead
authorizes an exchange of a portion of the property owned by the
abutting property owner for the City-owned right-of-way vacated
hereby. A sketch of the exchanged properties is attached hereto as
Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION III . This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval, and thirty days after its publication.
A certif ied copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the
Office of Records and Elections, and as otherwise provided by law.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, VACATING A
PORTION OF SOUTH 55TH (MARY PEDRO, VAC 96-002) .
WHEREAS, a proper petition for vacating a portion of South 55th _
