WHEREAS a Petita.on has been file� �i-�� the �ity Cler3� Qf t�e �it�
of Renton or� �ar abaut May 2 5, 19 7 Qpetitioning for the vacation of a partion
of a certainstreet as hereinafter more particulariy described and said
Petitian having been signed by the owners of mare than two-thirds of the
proper#y owners abut�ing upan the portion of said stree-� sou�ht to be
I vacated, same being described as follows: That portian of Burne�t-� Street
lying between Block� l and 2 of Walsworth' s First Addition, as recorded in
I recards of King Coun�y in Volume 6 of Pla-�s , gage 23 , Except that portion of
j 7th Street Extensian to Grady Way, and also Except the right of way of Grady Way;

of said Walsworth' s First Additian; Excep� �hat portian of �tha Burnett St, Ex-
ten�ion {SR515} All situation in Ren�on, King County, Washington.
NOG�' THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY T�?E MAY4R AP1D THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RENTON, ti�IASHINGTO�T, AS FOLLOti•�IS:
SECTION I: That the 20th day of July 1970 at the hour of
g p,�g,at the City Council Cha�nbers in the City HaII, Rentr�n, t�ashington,
be and is hereby fixed as the time and place when the afaresaid Petition
for vacating the aforesaid portion o� Stree� shall be heard and determined.
SECTION 2I : The City Cler}c is hereby authori.zed and directed to
give notice of said time and heari�ag as provided by Iaw, and any and a12
persons interested therein or objecting to said vacation may then appear
and be heard thereon, or they may file their writ�en objections thereto
with the City Clerk prior to or at the time of the hearing on said vacation.

The City Council shall determine , afi or prior to any such public hearing, ,
�I as to whether an appraisal shal3 be secured ta determine the fair market
va3ue o�' the property sought to be vacated as provided for in (}rdinance
No. �349 and �he Gity may likewise retain an easement far public uti.lity
I and related purposes.
