Dear Ms. Eshbaugh:
Per your request, we are resetting your client's Forfeiture Hearing from Tuesday, November 24,
2015 on the 2:30 p.m. docket to TueSdBY, Februarv 16, 2016 on the 1:30 p.m. docket. The
hearing will take place in the Council Chambers on the seventh floor of Renton City Hall. The
address is 1055 S Grady Way in Renton. Please note that more than one hearing may be scheduled
starting promptly at 1:30 p.m. If vour case is called and vou are not present, your appeal mav be
automaticallv denied.
Be advised that the hearing you have requested is a legally adversarial proceeding in which the City
of Renton will be responsible for proving the validity of the forfeiture. The City has the burden of
proof in establishing that your property is subject to forfeiture, but you have the sole responsibility
of presenting any and all arguments and evidence necessary to establish your claim. The hearing
examiner, who presides over your appeal, cannot make your case for you. You should bring any
documentation, witnesses, photographs and any other evidence you wish to present at the hearing.
If for some reason you do not plan to attend, or you have any questions, please call me in advance
of the hearing date at 425-430-6502.
