WHEREAS Resolt.tion No. id05 has heretofore been passed and appraved under
date of June 2, 195� es�ablishing and fixing certain subsistence r2tes for officials
and emp2oyees of the CI'�'Y and
47HEREAS it is cleemed advisable to amend and modify said rates, 1VOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AI�ID TH� CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
�•IASHINGTON AS FOLLOGIS:
SEC'TION I: 'Th�; subsistence r�te , per diem, for the fo3lowing designated
afficials, to-wit: �layor, �embers of the City Council , and all other eleeted or ,
appointed officials of the CIT'Y, is hereby fixed at $20,00 per day inside the
State of Washington r�nd the sum of $25.00 per day outside the State of Washington. ,
In case of all other saiaried employees said per diem amount is hereby fix�d in I
the sum of $15,00 within the State of Washington and $20.00 per day outside the
State of GJashington respectively. Such subsistence allowance shall only be granted �
in cases where such afficia3 ar empl.oyee is engaged in authorized City business
' Gnd for no other purpose ar purpases and all claims for payment c�€ such subsistence
r�tes shall be supported by praper vouchers and supporting dacuments.
In case af salaried emplciyees the proper Department Head shal�. determine when ��
�a employee may b� autharized to attend official City business; in case of the City
Cauncil , Baards or Commissions, the majarity of the members af each such body shall
� d�termine the authorized attendance at sueh Of�1.C18�. City business.
SECTION II: In addition to the faregoing subsistence rates, there shall be
allaw�d and paid actual transpartation expenses or an allowance of 10� per mile f or
the use af a personal car, when authorized, plus any taxi fares, long distance tele- '
phone calis or directly related expenses necessarily incident�ta the perf ormance af
official , authorized City business.
SECTION III: In computing the subsistence allowance above specified the calendar
I ds,y (midnight to znidnight) shall be the computation unit and far fractional parts oE
the day ane-fourth of the a2lowance for the calendar day shall be allawed for each
� p�riod af six hours or fractian theraof,
