WHEREAS there Y�.as been filed with the Secretary of State in 01.ympia,
Tdashingtons Ini.'tiative No. 215� also known as "MARINE RECREATION LAND ACT� and
V,iHEREA5 sai�l Initiative would provide means for the acquisition and
� de:�elopment of marine recreational areas and also provide for the apportionment
of unreclaimed gasoZine taxes paid by boaters on fuel consumed in watercraft
. „a�nong the State �. Counties� Cities and Towns; NOT,�J fiHEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLUED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON�
AS FOZIAWS:
SECTION I: The City of Renton hereby declares that it is in favor of
Initiative No. 2Z5� also known as "T�ARINE RECREATION I�iND ACT", and urges all
ir_terested parties to support said Initiative.
SECTION II: A Certified Copy of ��,s Resolution shall be sent to the
Association of 1�lashington Cities and other n�unicipalities and interested
a�encies.
