WNEREAS not 2ess than three printed copies in book form of the "UNIFORM , BUILDING CODE", Z967 Edition� Volume I, Second Printing" as issued by the International Conference of Building Off icials, have heretofore been f iled in the off ice of the City Clerk of the City of Rentoa for ase and examination by the public, and it is deemed edvisable to adopt said CODE by reference, subject to the deletions and amendments hereinbelow set �orth, and to further adopt by reference any amendments, additions or modif ieations when printed and f iled with the City Clerk from time to ti.me hereafter; NGt,I THERLFORE BE IT QRI}AIA�ED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF T'HE CITY OF RENTON AS i FOLL{�JS t � , SECTION It Sections 4-101, 102, and 103 of Title IV (Building Regulations) I o£ Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" are end repealed hereby deletedlin their entirety and in lieu thereof the following sections are hereby adopted� to•�wit: IVew Section 4..101: Said "Uniform BuilBi.ng Code, 2967 Edition, Volume I"� (Second Printing} comprising Sections 101 to 6002, inclusive, together with appendix thereto, Sections 1313 through 7020, inclusive, as issued by the International. Conference of ' Building Officia2s, of which not less than three printed copies in book form have heretofore been f iled in the office of the City Clerk and made available for examination by the public, is hereby adopted as the "UN�ORM BUILDING CODE, VOLUME I� 1967 IDITION {SECOIW PRINTING)" as aforedescribed, which Code may , be hereafter designated as "CIZY OF RTsNTON LI►jZF'ORM BUILDING CODE, 1967 IDITION", PROVIDED R04IEVER, that Table No. 3 A entitled "Building Permit Fees" page No. � � , be and the s8me is hereby deleted from said Edition. In lieu ther2of, there is hereby established and adopted the following section for Building Permit Fees, ta-wit; BUILDIIVG PERMIT FEES: A fee far each building permit sha12 be paid to the building official as set forth in the below specified Table. When the valu8tion of the proposed construction exceeds $1,000.00, and a plan is required to be submitted by the applicable provision of this Code, a plan,checking fee shall be paid to the building off icial at the time of submitting plans anc3 speci.f ications for checki.ng. I SECTION III: By the reference thereto made herei.nabove, said "UNIFORM BUILDING II CODE, 1967 EDITION, VOLUME I (SECOI�ID PRINTING)", together with any all amen��ents, modifications or additions thereto, hereafter printed or filed with the Citq Clerk as hereinabove speeif ied are incorporated in and made a part of this Code, as amended, as f ully and with the same effect as i.f set out in f ull, or as if adopted by subseQuent i Ordinance amendatory hereof. I SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall not be construed to re2ieve f rom or lessen the resQonsibility of any person owning, building, altering, conatructing or moving any building or structure defined i.n the aforesaid Code; nor shall the City of Renton or any agent thereof be held as assuming such liability by reason of inspection authorized herein or a certificate of occupancy issued by the City or any of its �gencies or I departments. SECTION V: AI1 other sections of Chapter I of Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton", unless expressly repealed or mvdified herein, shall remain in full f orce and ef£ect including Seetiona 4-Z04, arid I05, of �4�d Ch+�pter I. , • . SECTION Vi: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publicatioa as provided by law.
