AN ORDII3ANCE OF THE CITY QF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE
ZONING CLASS�FICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY
OF RENTON FROM GENERAL SUBURBAN DISTRiCT (GS-1) TO RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT R-2 AN� RESIDENTZAL DISTRICT R-3

WHEREAS uader Chapter VII, Title IV �Building Regulations) of
Ordinance No. 162$ known as the t'Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Renton", as amended, and the maps adopted in conjuaction therewith, the
property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as General Suburban
District (GS-1); and
WHEREAS a proper petition for change of zone classification of
said property has been filed with the City Clerk on or about M,ay 1, 1968,
which etitioa was dal referred to the Planuin Cammission for investi ation

study and public hearing, and a public hearing having been held thereon on
May 22, 1968, which public hearing was duly continued, and said matter having
been dul considered b the Plannia Commission and said rezonin re uest

being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan and all parties having
been heard appearing in support thereof or i.n opposition thereto, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ItESOLVED BY THE MAYQR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
Ri�NTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTIOI3 I: The following dascribed properties fa the City of Renton
are hereby rezoned as specified below. The City Eagineer and the Planning
. Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoniug
Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning, to-wit:
REZONE TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2)
That portion of the SW 1/4 of Sect. 20, Twp. 23 N., Range
5 E., W.M., described as foilows: Beginning at the SE coraer
of said subdivision; thence north 0°08'49" East along the
easterly line thereof 1271.16 feet to the true point of
beginning; thence north 0°08'49f' east along said easterly
line 143.88 feet; thence westerly parailel with the aortherly
line of said subdivision 625.525 feet; thence south Q°13`18"
west 143.89 feet; thence easterly parallel with the northerly
l.ine of said subdivision 625.71 feet to the true point of I
beginning; ALSO the north 1I2 of that portion of the SW 1/4 '
of Seetion 20, Tawnshi'p 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M., deseribed
as follows; Seginaing at the southquarter corner of said

section; thence north 0°08*49`" East, along the center line
of said section 1271.16 feet to the southeast corner and the
true point of beginning of the tract herein described; thence
continuing north U°08'49'4 East 287.76 feet; thence westerly
parallel �o the east and west center liae of said section
625.34 feet; thence s�nuth Q°13'18" west 287.78 feet; thence
easterly, parallel to the east and west center line of said section
625.71 feet to the true p.oint of beginaing.
EXCEPT THAT THE WESTERLY 240 feet of the above described
premises be and the same are hereby REZONEb TO RESIDENCE
DISTRICT (R-3) .

SEGTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and iegal publication.
