AN ORDINP..NCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON ,
PROVIDING FOR THE CONDEMNATION OF PERMANENT AND
TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMEN']� IN, OVER AND UPON
CERTAIN LAND NECESSARY IN CONNECTION WITH
CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF A SEWER LINE ,
L. I .D. N0 . 267 , AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT
OF SAID EASEMENTS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SEGTION I : That the City Attorney for the City of Renton
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to purchase and/or institute
and prosecute to determination in the Superior Court of. the State of
Washington, in the County of K�ng, an action in the name of the City of
ent and tem orar
Renton for condemnation and acquisition of perman p y
construction easements in, over and upon the following described lands
� for the purpose of obtaining the necessary area for construction and
installation of a sewer line, L.I .D. #267 , in the City of Renton, to-wit :
That portion of the following described property lying
northerly of the North Renton Interchange as 'condemned
by the State of Washington unde.r King County Superior
' Court Cause No. 656773 ;
That portion of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section 8 , Township 23 North, Range 5 East,
W.M. , in King County, Washington, described as follows :
Beginning at the North Quarter corner of said section
8 ; thence North 89°22 ' 50" East along the North line
of said Section 767 . 64 feet to the true point of
beginning of the tract herein described; thence South
0°35 ' 45" East 623 .47 feet; thence South 46°35 ' 27"
West 410 . 41 feet to the easterly margin of the Puget
Sound Power � Light Company 's right of way; thence
South 15°07 ' 50" East along the easterly margin of the
Puget Sound Power � Light Company 's right of way 227 .10
feet; thence North 46°35 ' 27" East 605 . 33 feet ; thence
North 0° 35 '45" West 710 .91 feet to the North line of
said Section 8; thence South 89°22 ' 50" ,West along the
North line of said Section, 200 feet to the true point
of beginning.
The easements required in this instance include a permanent strip 10 feet
in width bordering the eastern boundary of the aforedescribed property
I at its northern extremity continuing southerly for a distance of 120 feet ,
being a total area of 1,200 square feet; together wi.th a t�.emporary

construc�ion easemen�t 30 �eet in width, whi.ch includes the permanent
easemen,t area, or an addi�ional 20 feet , again bordering the eastern
boundary o.� the aforedescribed property at its nar�hern:, extremity,
continuing for a dis�tance a� 1,20 �eet, and being a tatal of 3 ,600 square
feet, or an addi.tional 2,400 �quare feet more �han the permanent easernent .
RECQRD OWNERS : Frecl W. Akers a.nd Haze1 C. Akers, his wife ,
and Li.ly K. Backznan; a widow, tenants in common.
SECTION II : Tha-� �he acquisition o� �he said easements
for. �he purpase herein mentioned is for a public uee and necessity, and
for �he puJ�lic benefi-�.
SECTION III : Payment for the easemen�s herein descri.bed
�o be acquired shall be made �rom asse�nents against properties lcscated
wi�hin L.I .D. #267 , andlor from such other funds o� the Ci-ty of Ren�an
as may be available there�or.
SECTION IV: Nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed
as a waiver by the Ci�y of Renton of i.ts right to decline to take and
pay far said easements after the amount of campensatian, including
damage�, if any, has been ascertained, and within �he time allowed by law.
SECTION V: Thi� Ordinance sha11 take effect and be in
force from and after a.ts passage , approval and publication as provided by
3aw.
