I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AME�TDING SECTION 6-163 of TITLE VI C�OLICE
� REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED

"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY 0�' RENTON"
RELATING TO "DISORDERLY CONDUCT"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Section 6-163 , (A�subparagraphs 1 to 6
inclusive of TITLE VI (POLICE REGULATIONS) of Ordinance No. 1628

entitled '�Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is:�
hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 6-163 : DISORDERLY CONDUCT :
(A) Definition: A person shall be guilty of disorderly
conduct if, with a purpose to cause public danger,
alarm, disorder, nuisance , or if with the knowled�e
that he is likely to create such public danger, alarm,
disorder, or nuisance , wilfully commits any of the
following, to-wit:
1. Creates a disturbance of the public order by an
act of violence or by any act likely to produce
violence, or acts in a violent or tumultuous manner
toward another whereby any person is placed in fear
of safety of his life , limb or health; or
2. Engages in fighting or in violent , threatening
or tumultuous behavior or who acts in a violent or
tumultuous manner toward another whereby the property
of any person is placed in danger of being destroyed
or damaged; or
3 . Causes , provokes or engages in any fight, brawl
or riotous conduct so as to endanger the life , limb ,
health or property of another; or
4. Any person who shall assemble or congregate with
another or others for the purpose or� intent to �n�a��
in gambling ; or
5 . Addresses abusive , vile or obscene language or
threats to any person present which creates aclear
and present danger of violence , or r�ho makes any
unreasonable or loud noises ; or
6 . Frequents any public place with intent to obtain
money from ot�er persons by illegal or fraudulent
schemes , tricks , artifaces or devices ; or
7 . Accosts or at�er�.pts to force his company upon
any female or attempts to pick up any female ; or

auses likelihood of harm or sexious inconvenience
by failing to obey a la�ful order of dispersal by a
police officer, where three (3) or more persons are
committing acts of disorderly conduct as herein
defined in the immediate vicinity thereof; or
9 . Commits acts of violence and thereby interferes
with another' s pursuit of lawful occupation; or
10. Damages , befouls or disturbs public property or
pro erty of another so as to create a hazardous un-

healthy or physically offensive condition; or
11. Congregates with another or others in or on
any public way so as- to halt the flow of vehicular
or pedestrian traffic and refuses to clear such I
public way when ordered by the City Police or other
lawful authority to do so.
SECTION II : All remaining provisions of Section 6-163 ,unless
otherwise expressly amended hereinabove , shall remain in full force
and effect.
SECTION III : Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict here�ith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV : This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage , approval and legal publication.
