AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, TniASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
AND PROPERTY RIGHTS BY EMINENT DOMAIN; PROVIDING
FOR THE PAYMENT THEREOF ; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO PREPARE A PETITION FOR CONDEMNATION
IN THE SUPERIOR COURT IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF
KING AND THE PROSECUTION THEREOF FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF SUCH PROPERTY AND PROPERTY RIGHTS FOR THE
IMPROVEMENT OF N. E. 27th STREET IN RENTON, WASHINGTON.
BE IT ORDAINED : BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : It is acknowledged that the acquisition of the
following described property and property rights is part of the City' s
Plan and design for the improvement of its city streets.
SECTION II : It is hereby determined that the acquisition of
the following described property and property rights is necessary
and for a public purpose and use - the improvement of N. E. 27th Street ,
and all of such property being located within the corporate limits of
the City of Renton, the same being described as follows , to-wit :
PARCEL I ( MYERS)
That portion of the follor,�ing described Parcel "A"
beginning at the Southraest corner of said Tract 281 ; thence
North 27°: 43 ' 1891 West along the Westerly line of said Tract
281 a distance of 52 . 19 feet ; thence Southeasterly along
the arc of a curve to the left , radius 200 feet ; a distance
of 76 . 05 feet to a point on the Southerly line of said Tract
South 79°51t27" East 31. 34 feet from the point of beginning ;
thence North 79°51' 27" West along the Southerly line of said
Tract a distance of 31. 34 feet to the Southwest corner of
Tract 281 and the point of beginning.

Tract 281 , C. D. Hillman' s Lake Washington Garden of
Eden Division No. 4 , according to the plat recorded in
Volume 11 of Plats , page 82 , records of King County,
Washington; EXCEPT the East 140 feet thereof.

Al1 that portion of the following described property
lying within a strip of land 60 feet in width, 30 feet on
either side of the following described center line.
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of
N. E. 28th Street and Kennewick Place N.E. ; thence South
23° 51' 31" East along the center line of Kennewick Place
N. E. a distance of 57 . 16 feet to a point of a curve to the
left with a radius of 150 feet ; thence Southeasterly along
the arc of a curve to the left , radius 150 feet , through a
central angle of 56° 55' 3 . 75" , an arc distance of 148 . 13
feet ; thence South 80° 26 ' 35" East a distance of 959 . 63 feet
to an intersection with the center line of Aberdeen Ave. N.E. ;

on the existing center line of N. E. 27th Street , the
termination of said center line.
Said property being described as follows :
The North 80 feet of the West 100 feet as measured
along First Avenue (N.E. 27th Street) of Tract 240 ,
C. D. Hillman' s Lake Washington Garden of Eden Division
No. 4 , according to the plat recorded in Volume 11 of
Plats , page 82 , records of King County, Washington.
TOGETHER WITH a permanent easement for roadway slope
and sidewalks in, over and upon that portion of the
following described property lying Southerly of a lin�
drawn 30 feet Southerly and parallel with the follo�ing
described center line.
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines
of N. E. 28th Street and Kennewick Place N. E. in the
Northwest one-quarter of Section 5 , Township 23 North,
Range 5 East , W.M. ; thence South 23° 51` 31" East along
the center line of said Kenner�rick Place N.E. a distance
of 57 . 16 feet to a point of a curve to the left , radius
150 feet; thence Southeasterly along the arc of a curve
to the left , with a radius of 150 feet , through a central
angle of 56°35 ' 3. 75" a distance of 148 . 13 feet;
thence South 80° 26 ' 35" East a distance of 959 . 63 feet
to an intersection with the center line of Aberdeen Ave.
N.E. ; thence continuing South 80°26 ' 35" East a distance
of 283 . 21 feet to a point of curve to the left with a
radius of 800 feet , the termination of said center line.
and Northerly of the following described line :
Beginning at a point on the Easterly margin of
Aberdeen Ave. N.E. , 10 feet southerly , measured
perpendicularly, from the above described line; thence
Southeasterly 188 feet to a point 5 feet southerly,
measured perpendicularly , from the previously described
line ;
Said property being described as follows :
� The North 80 feet of the West 100 feet measured along
First Ave. (N.E. 27th St. ) of Tract 240 , C. D. Hillman' s
Lake Washington Garden of Ede� Division No. 4 , acc�rding
to the plat recorded in Volume 11 of Plats , page 82 , records
of King County, Washington;
and further that the City is authorized by the laws and statutes of
the State of Washington to condemn and damage lands and other
property rights and privileges within its corporate limits necessary
for the abovestated purpose.

SECTION III :
The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to commence
condemnation proceedings against the owners or reputed owners of
the abovedescribed lands and improvements as provided by law , to
prepare the necessary petition: ln condemnati.on and commence and �
prosecute such action in the Superior Court in and for the County of
King against all of the owners or reputed owners of the hereinabo�e
described property, and to acquire title and rights thereto for the
City of Renton; and such proceedings shall be to ascertain the just
compensation for the taking and/or damaging of such properties.
SECTION Iv :
Compensation for the acquisition of said property and property
rights shall be made from the Urban Arterial Trust Fund of the STate
of Washington, Forward Thrust Fund, and/or from such other funds of
the City of Renton as may be available therefor.
SECTION V :
Nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed as a waiver by
the City of Renton of its right to decline to take and pay for said
property and property rights after the amount of compensation has
been ascertained, and within the time allowed by law.
SECTION VI : "
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
itsp�ssage , approval and publication as provided by law.
