AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ,
AMENDING CHAPTER 6 of TITLE I (ADMINISTRATIVE)
OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO
COMMITTEES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Subsection(H)of Section 1-601 of Title I
(Administrative) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows :
SE.CTION:".i:-6.0:1 COMMITTEES APPOINTED - Subsection CH) -
The Committee on Committees shall consist of -ft�u� (4)
members of the City Council, namely , the President , the immediate past
President thereof and two (2) members of the City Council selected
therefore.
The Committee on Committees shall have the right to re-organize,
and re-arrange the membership of standing committees including the dis-
continuance of any standing or special committee , and the re-assignment
of its duties and functions to another committee or committees , together
with the establishment of special, temporary and ad hoc committees ,
PROVIDED HOWEVER, that the re-arrangement, re-organization or discontin-
uance or re-assignment of the membership and duties of any standing
committee shall have the prior approval of a majority of the members of
the City Council.
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage ,
approval and five days after its publication, unless otherwise provided
for hereinabove.
